Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join a law firm in West Palm Beach, Florida. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while utilizing your legal expertise and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage litigation files, support attorneys, and handle various administrative tasks with precision. Responsibilities: • Open and organize case files to ensure all documentation is properly maintained. • Transcribe, format, and edit legal documents with attention to detail. • Prepare and draft letters, motions, and other legal correspondence. • Manage e-filing processes, ensuring timely submission of court filings. • Schedule and coordinate appointments, depositions, and court-related activities. • Maintain attorney calendars and ensure deadlines are followed. • Collaborate with couriers, court reporters, and expert witnesses as needed. • Follow up on delegated tasks to ensure completion within required timeframes. • Assist with the preparation of cases by organizing and retrieving necessary documents. • Provide administrative support to attorneys during litigation processes.• At least 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role. • Proficiency in e-filing systems and court filing procedures. • Strong organizational skills to manage calendars and litigation files. • Ability to draft legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail. • Experience scheduling depositions, court appearances, and client meetings. • Familiarity with transcribing and editing legal documents. • Knowledge of insurance defense practices is preferred. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with legal teams.
