comp +/-$155k (base AND bonus) with exceptional benefits This newly created position, reporting to the Sr. Director of Corporate Packaging, will act as the key leader to transform our capital equipment maintenance strategy from reactive to proactive, leading to an improved OEE and supporting our Operational Excellence initiative. The Sr. Packaging Engr. will lead all efforts to implement Reliability Excellence within Packaging at all sites. This will require directing the maintenance teams to implement a standard SAP hierarchy structure, creating and then tracking key metrics as well as defining and supporting the behavior changes needed to achieve our objectives. In a nut shell, this person will provide leadership and technical expertise to asset life cycle management. The facilities are aged (50-75 yrs) in the equipment and power generation, so they are in the process of making major capital equipment upgrades in 5 refineries (Calif, NY, MD, LA & Toronto). This person will be mentoring Department Managers, Maintenance Team Managers working with the mechanics in each refinery (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance) to change the strategic approach to maintenance across the board. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems preferred)
Minimum of 5 years
experience in reliability engineering or operational experience.
Expertise in multiple areas of maintenance and reliability, material management, planning and scheduling, and CMMS / EAM / ERP optimization.
Reliability engineering
preventative/predictive maintenance, creating reliability plans (schedule, plans, etc.)
Must have an understanding of the RCM process, failure mode identification, defect analysis, cause and effect analysis, loss elimination, determination of probability, and consequence of failures; along with the use of FMEA s, RCFA decision logic, and writing tasks to mitigate identified failures.
Experience required with Packaging Machines, Multi weighers, Metal Detectors, In-line check scales, belt conveyors, motors, blowers, gearboxes, Palletizing Equipment, and Stretch Wrappers.
Travel up to 50% US and Canada.
